If you do not consent to your catholic christening you should be aware that, accordingly, you are considered a catholic and therefore you continue to support the catholic church. Now it is possible to ask for an annotation on the Christened Persons Registry, by sending a request in which you express your wish for not being considered an adherent of the religious confession called “The Roman Catholic Apostolic Church”

Being christened in your parish, on a date presumably few days after my birth, I wish for the informations in your possession to be corrected by adding an annotation to the Christened Persons Registry, recognizing my unequivocal wish for not being considered anymore an adherent of the religious confession called “The Roman Catholic Apostolic Church” Besides, I ask for a letter duly signed by authorized signatory(ies) in order to confirm that the requested annotation was made. It is recommended that, in case the answer for this request is unfit or is not received within 15 days, the undersigned, according to the Art. 145 of the Legislative Decree n. 196/2003, can turn to the judicial authority or to make an appeal to the Guarantor for the Protection of Confidential and Personal Data. This is all, according to the Legislative Decree n. 196/2003 (which has replaced the Law n. 675/1996 since 01.01.2004), regarding the Decision of the Guarantor for the Protection of Confidential and Personal Data dated 09.09.1999 and, the sentence of the Court of Padova dated 29.05.2000.
